You may bring your clothes any time on Monday - Friday without an appointment. We accept Spring/Summer clothing from Feb. 10 – July 2 and Fall/Winter from Sept. 1 – Dec. 10 unless otherwise notified by email or poster. It is always wise to call first to double-check. We are no longer accepting baby/toddler clothes unless they are new with the tags still on or in the original packaging.

Terms of Consignment
We cannot accept any item that has any defect whatsoever! Clothing and accessories must be of the current season, clean, and in ready to wear condition with:
No stains or marks of any kind No lint, fuzzies, pet hair or pilling No laundry-faded items
No loose seams or hemlines No pet or cigarette odor No deodorant marks in the armpits
Working zippers and all buttons Not stretched out of shape No foot imprints on insoles of shoes
►►►The following brands may NOT be accepted for sale with exceptions on a per item basis: Basic Edition, No Boundaries, Route 66, Athletic Works, White Stag, Joe Boxer, Faded Glory, Zoey Beth, George, Jaclyn Smith, Kathy Lee, Garanimals, Attention, OP, L.e.i., Premier International and Secret Treasures. If an item is older than 10 years, and is not vintage, it will not be placed for sale. Suits must be manufactured within the past 4 years or of a traditional style by a high-end company (Anne Klein, Kasper, etc.)
►►►Please bring your clothing folded in a box or bag—NO HANGERS. Do not bring shoes in shoe boxes (we do not have a dumpster) unless they are still new and show the price. Any item that does not meet the above terms will be considered a donation unless you request that I call you to come back and pick up unusable items. Please limit your items to 35 items per month. We will tag your clothes with a colored tag that includes the price, your client number and a brief description of the item. All prices will be set by Valerie’s Loft. If you wish to have a list of the items brought to Valerie’s Loft, you must prepare that list yourself prior to bringing in the items.
You will receive 40% of the selling price of all items in the form of a check unless you wish to use the proceeds as store credit, in which case your portion will be 50%. The term of the consignment is for 90 days from the date they are placed on the floor, which will be within 1-3 weeks of the date listed below. Prices will be reduced during the 90 days in order to promote their sale.* You may request your proceeds at any time, but please wait a month before calling.
Approximately eight (8) weeks after items are put on the floor for sale, they will be reduced by 25%. Four (4) weeks after that, they will be reduced by 50%. Items not picked up by you by the end of the 90 day consignment term will become the property of the shop and may be donated to charity. It is your responsibility to track the dates to request your payments and/or pick up your items. It will be approximately 1-3 weeks before your clothes get to the sales floor during which time you may claim your clothes back; if you decide you want your clothing back after that, you must wait until they have been on the floor for 6 weeks. Charities of choice are AWA, Gainesville Community Ministries, Graceworks and Hospice. All monies that have not been collected within one year from the date below will be forfeited to Valerie’s Loft and the account closed. No payments will be automatically generated; you must contact me.
Although we take the utmost care of your consigned items, we are not responsible for items that are lost, stolen, destroyed by a natural catastrophe or facility defect, or mishandled by careless shoppers.
*The 90 day limit and price discounting does not apply to Wedding Gowns and accessories, some Formals, and jewelry, but they may be reduced after 90 days to hasten their sale.
